Learningthrough play
Our classrooms are full of blocks, beads, paint, thread, costumes and songs. Every activity is fun, and every one has a clear goal: language, early maths, focus, fine motor skills, kindness and teamwork.
What learning looks like
Real days from our classrooms, as shared by our teachers.
First stitch, first flower
Embroidering flower patterns builds focus, patience and fine motor skills.
Tea party role-play
Greeting guests and serving pretend tea teaches manners and new words.
Letters you can build
With Ginga blocks, children construct every letter of the alphabet.
Kites for Makar Sankranti
Kites made in class, then the science of how they ride the wind.
Mini shoppers
A trip to the grocery store for our Community Helpers theme.
Camping day
A tent built together and stories round a pretend bonfire.
Mug makeover
Plain white mugs turned into works of art with paint and imagination.
Science up close
Real leaves, stems and roots, and experiments children can watch and touch.
Monthly themes and real trips
Each month has a theme children can touch and explore. Our Community Helpers theme took us to a real grocery store, set up vegetable vendors and master chefs in class, and turned the classroom into a doctor's clinic.
Learning carries on outside: an annual picnic at City Forest Park, a camping day on campus, and plenty of time in the garden.
“No worksheets. No screens.”
